Licence Plate Renewals

Avoid lineups by visiting the registry office in mid-month or by renewing your plates online. 

Motorcycle renewals, off highway renewals, and commercial vehicles can also be renewed online.

In order to renew your vehicle registration you will need the following:

• Proof of valid insurance
• Valid Alberta Driver's Licence/ID Card
  • Or a valid Canadian Passport, valid foreign Passport with valid permit, Permanent Resident card, etc

If you are renewing registration on behalf of someone else you will need the following:

• Proof of valid insurance
• A copy of the registration

OR

• Proof of valid insurance
• Authorization for vehicle services form
• Valid identification

Fee – varies depending on vehicle and use.

Note: Senior discount can be applied to in person services only.
