Change of Address

If you change your address, you are required by law to update the address information on your driver’s licence/ID card within 14 days of moving. This must be done in person. You will be required to present your current driver’s licence. You will be given a temporary licence and your new driver’s licence will be received by in approximately 10 business days. If your driver's licence has been lost you will be required to present other identification.

Acceptable Identification if Alberta driver's licence lost: 

• Birth Certificate
• Valid Passport
• Valid Firearms Card
• Permanent Residency/Citizenship Card
• Secure Indian Status Card

Fee = $28.00 (incl GST)

Note: If you have vehicles registered to your name in Alberta you will also be required to change the address on your vehicle registration(s) at a fee of $7.00.
